The Best Double Buggy Strollers

A double buggy is the best when you are expecting twins or have two children of different ages. The best double buggy is simple to maneuver and is able to be used on uneven surfaces.

They also have features like large sun canopy, see-through hoods and seats that can be adjusted.

1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double

The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest model in the Baby Jogger range. It's made for travel and easily fits through most standard doorways with its ultra-narrow design, it's also one of the most lightweight double buggies on the market weighing just 14lbs when folded. This makes it perfect for flying with a newborn and a toddler since you won't exceed the luggage allowances of airlines. It also folds up to the size of a travel bag and can be tucked away in the back of your car when it's not being used.

It's easy to fold the Z-shape with one hand. Once you're used to it, it's compact and only takes minutes. However, our tester found the auto lock to be a bit confusing. Also, since the handlebar doesn't lock into place when you press it, it landed on her legs when she was using it. The handlebar was a bit too short and especially with the large changing bag hanging off of it.

Unlike other lightweight travel buggies that aren't loaded with features and is among the most feature-packed double strollers that are available. It can be used with two carrycots (available separately) It also has multiple recline positions, and has a UV 50+ canopy. You can also add the bassinet to either or both seats and transform it into a travel system.

The four composite wheels made of rubber are ideal for pavements as well as urban terrain however, they're not designed for off-roading. They slid on gravel and long grass and there's not much clearance between the bracket and the wheel, which means that mud could get stuck easily. Our testers loved this buggy, and it was able to climb pretty muddy hills.

iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange double buggy is the ultimate in style, versatility and quality. It is a must-have item for parents looking for a stylish, high-quality double buggy that will last. The Orange has an elegant, lightweight, streamlined frame with a large basket that easily fits 2 car seats. It has an elegant, adjustable canopy that is water repellent and breathable. The 2021 update includes some changes, including improved manoeuvrability and an even better, larger shopping basket with a re-designed bumper bar and leatherette cover. The seats are moulded and are very comfortable. They're also adjustable so that they can be positioned to suit the needs of siblings. iCandy is the first to introduce a 'cinema seating' design that allows parents to maintain eye contact with their children. They can be repositioned so that they face either the parent or the world.

It's a heavier tandem buggie but it's easy to use and drive particularly on smooth roads. It is stable in both single and double mode and even on sloping terrain. It is not as easy to use on public transport because it requires two hands to hold the handlebar. It's also heavy and can't be stuffed into a standard car boot without the seat attached, but this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy include a footmuff, changing bag and car seat adapters in the price, so it's an excellent value for parents who are new.

The Nipper Double V5 from Out 'n' About is an updated version of the award-winning all-terrain buggy. It's made for siblings or twins and it has independent reclined seats, compatibility carrycots and a lightweight frame that allows for easy maneuvering on uneven terrain.

The height-adjustable handle and rear wheel suspension offer a comfortable ride for kids up to 22kg. The sturdy pneumatic tyres that are easy to clean, also provide a smooth ride when jogging. The 360-degree swivel wheel can be locked to make it easier to manoeuvre around town. The one-pedal, easy lock brake is also easy to use.

Our test participants found that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to navigate, even on bumpy terrain or when turning in the middle of a busy road. They were also awed by the fact that both seats recline independently. This means they can be adjusted to suit individual needs - ideal for napping.

They also loved the fact that the hoods could be moved forward and back, which made them easier to adjust in the sun or for wind protection. They did not offer the same coverage as Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It might be worth having an extra rain cover in case.

Overall, our test participants loved the way the Nipper Double made it possible for them to take their twins Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures, from spotting wildlife in the woods, to rush to the park to play with their friends.  double buggy converts to single  were also impressed by how comfortable and spacious the two seats are with plenty of room for toddlers growing to sprawl out in. Our test participants did not agree that the lack of a parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats with the buggy was a disadvantage, and they would like to have seen more storage space to store shopping items and other accessories.
